The One Hollywood Studios Ride You Should Rope Drop – And the One You Shouldn’t - AllEars.Net

We’re just going to come out and say it: now is a really good time to visit Disney World.

The weather isn’t TOO hot. We’re winding down Halloween and getting ready for the holiday season. Ride wait times are SUPER low, and the crowds are light. However, that doesn’t ‘mean that you shouldn’t visit the parks without a plan. When it comes to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll definitely want to think about your rope drop strategy.​

So your first instinct when rope dropping Hollywood Studios might be to head straight to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and head to Rise of the Resistance. There’s just one big problem with that: Rise of the Resistance is often closed at park open, which was the case yesterday — in fact, it was closed from park open to noon.

Instead, head to Toy Story Land instead and rope drop Slinky Dog Dash. Yesterday, Slinky Dog Dash had its shortest wait time at rope drop: 35 minutes. You can knock that out and then take advantage of the even shorter wait times for other rides in Hollywood Studios. If you still want to hit up Rise of the Resistance later, that’s still an option (and if lines are too long, you can grab a Lightning Lane Single Pass for it).
