The other weekend I was working on daisy chaining a new cache of webbing for the water rescue team at Garden Spot Fire Rescue. The webbing will be used to connect to anchor points in rope rescue work. Daisy chain is a term used for a combination of knots to shorten a length of webbing or rope, mainly while it is stored. I started with twelve 20-foot green lengths in a pile, I was intrigued by the shadows created by the knots, and was wondering how it would look as I added the other three lengths in different colors. By the time I finished with the other twelve pieces of webbing, the sun had set and I lost my light. A few days later, I took them back out onto the deck and threw them on a pile and photographed them. In total there is nearly 400 feet of webbing knotted up and ready to be quickly deployed if needed. The Method: Canon 1DX with an 85 mm lens, ISO of 100, shutter speed at 125th of a second at f/16.
